Whenever traveling, which is something I do fairly often, I try to take as little jewerly with me as possible. Not only does it make going through customs less of a drag, I feel a lot more comfortable knowing that my jewerly is back home, in a safe secure place. If it gets stolen or lost, I'd be pretty upset!

don't travel with anything good. invest in a few nice looking costume pieces that you wont' be heartbroken if something happens. estate sales are a good place to get this kinda stuff at a good price, or after holiday sales

I always wear a simple gold necklace and earrings when travleing that way I don't have to worry about what will match and I don't worry so much about being robbed.

There is no harm in traveling with your jewelry. But ensure that you keep it at a good safe place close to you while traveling. Rule of thumb: Never ever keep it in a check in luggage if traveling by plane.

I agree as well...whenever I'm traveling, I definitely leave my real jewelry at home. I bring along the nice fake ones whenever I'm traveling. It's no good to have that chance of your fine jewelry stolen in your hotel room.. or even worse, your whole luggage stolen with not only your jewelry but also your other valuables as well!

I ALSO JUST WEAR WHATEVER JEWELRY I AM GOING TO TAKE WITH ME IF I TAKE ANY AT ALL. I HAD A NECALACE GO MISSING FROM MY HOTEL ROOM WHILE WE WERE OUT ONCE AND I WAS PRETTY UPSET. THE MANAGER OF THE HOTEL JUST KEPT SAYING THEIR WAS NOTHING HE COULD DO. I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN.

Any tips on where to buy the suede pouches? I am pretty bad at storing my jewellry at home let alone when I travel!
