Are you sure that it is clean with toothpaste. It is my first time to hear it, I am mostly pay $5 dollar to clean my jewelry to make it shine.

I have done this. I also find using a bit of vinegar can be very helpful in getting jewelry clean and sparkling.

this seems like some toothpastes (w/ bleach) might be too harsh and could damage jewelry. be careful!

what about the jewelry gold plating over silver???? or it only cleans the silver alone???

I just use baking soda with water to make a paste which is similar to using toothpaste and it makes my silver jewelry shine.
